Alba Onyx is onyx without the shine. The same soft, cloud-like banding of a white onyx — pale ivory drifting into warm white with faint mineral veins — but on a matt face rather than a polished one, so it reads as calm and chalky instead of glassy. It is the onyx for people who want the stone but not the mirror: it does not show fingerprints, water marks or footprints, it does not glare under downlights, and a 60x60cm floor of it looks like honed stone rather than a showroom.

Where it works
Bathroom floors and walls, en-suites, kitchen floors, hallways. Matt is the right choice for a bathroom floor — grippier than any polished onyx when wet — and the pale, quiet pattern works with everything from brushed brass to matt black. Run the 60x60 on the floor and the 60x120 satin on the walls for a soft step-up in sheen between the two.
Frequently Asked Questions
Matt or satin — what is the difference?
Same print, different surface. Matt (this 60x60) has no reflection at all and the best grip. Satin (the 60x120) has a soft, low sheen — a hint of the onyx glow without going full gloss.
Is a matt onyx harder to keep clean?
No — easier. A matt glazed porcelain is sealed and non-porous like any other; it just does not show smears. A pH-neutral cleaner and a flat mop is all it needs.
Can I use it in a shower?
On the walls, yes. On a shower tray floor, matt is the better of the two finishes, but for a wet room floor check the slip rating for your situation or use a dedicated anti-slip tile.
