Onice Beige Onyx Effect Polished Porcelain 60x120cm Wall & Floor Tile
Onice takes its name from the stone it imitates, and this beige is the warm, honeyed version of it — translucent amber-beige banding that drifts in soft horizontal layers across a mirror-polished face, with cream highlights and golden lowlights that give it the glow of real backlit onyx. At 60x120cm the banding carries from one tile into the next, so a wall reads as continuous stone rather than a grid.

Where it works
Feature walls behind a bath or vanity, full-height shower enclosures, fireplace surrounds, hallway and living room floors. Warm beige onyx suits brushed brass, bronze and walnut, and it is the colour to pick when a room needs warmth rather than brightness — a north-facing bathroom, a snug, an evening-lit dining space. Beige is also the most forgiving colour in a large-format polish: it hides dust and water marks far better than a white or a dark gloss.

What preparation does a 60x120cm tile need?
A flat, stable substrate, a large-format flexible adhesive, full back-buttering and a levelling clip system. A 1mm lip is visible on a polished face at this size.
Can I use it on a bathroom floor?
Walls and dry floors, yes. Polished porcelain is slippery once wet, so use a matt or textured tile in the shower tray or wet room area.
Does polished porcelain need sealing?
No. The body is dense and non-porous; only the grout joints need attention. Use a pH-neutral cleaner and avoid acidic descalers.

- Check where it can go. Floors need a tile rated for floors. In showers and wet rooms, a matt or anti-slip finish is safer underfoot than polished.
- Measure and add 10%. Length x width for each area, added together, plus 10% for cuts and breakage (15% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). The calculator above does this for you.
- Pick your joint. This tile is rectified (precision-cut edges), so a slim 2mm joint gives a near-seamless look. Large tiles need a flat surface; levelling clips help.
