Filling the bath from the wall

A wall mounted bath spout keeps the bath rim completely clear. Nothing sits on the deck, so the bath is easier to clean, and it is the neatest way to fit a bath into an alcove or create a built-in look.

You need a valve to control it

A spout has no lever of its own. It is fed from a concealed valve with a bath outlet, which sets the flow and temperature. The Oriana 2-outlet concealed thermostatic valve runs the bath spout and a shower from one set of controls, and it also comes in matt black.

Check the projection

The Oriana spout projects 214mm from the finished wall, which clears most standard and shower baths when it is set just above the rim. Measure from the finished wall to where you want the water to land.

Plan it before you tile

The valve body and the pipework to the spout sit inside the wall, so both must be fitted before tiling. It is a job for a plumber, ideally during a full renovation.

Can I use a bath spout on its own?

No. It has no tap or lever, so it must be connected to a valve outlet.

Is it thermostatic?

The spout itself isn't, but connecting it to a thermostatic valve gives you a thermostatic bath fill.
