Straight radiator valves

A straight, or inline, valve passes water straight through without changing direction. It's the valve to use when the pipe already lines up with the radiator's connection.

When to choose straight valves

The most common use is a pipe coming up from the floor into a radiator or towel rail that connects underneath. Straight valves also suit pipes that run along the wall into a side connection. If the pipe rises from the floor into a side connection, you need angled valves instead.

Towel rails and vertical radiators

Some heated towel rails and vertical radiators connect underneath, which is where straight valves come in. Check the connection position on the product page of your rail or radiator before you order.

Manual or thermostatic

Straight valves are made as manual pairs or with a thermostatic head, so you can control each room individually.
