Heated towel rails and towel radiators

A heated towel rail keeps towels warm and dry and helps heat the bathroom at the same time. Every rail in our range connects to your central heating like a standard radiator, and they come in five finishes and four styles, so you can match your taps, shower and tiles instead of settling for a plain white ladder.

Ladder towel rails use classic round bars and suit any bathroom. Flat panel towel rails swap tubes for slim flat bars for a cleaner, modern look. Designer towel rails add chunky high-output bars or statement finishes, and central connection towel rails tuck both valves underneath the rail.

What size do I need?

Start with the space and the pipes you already have. 1200 x 500mm is the most common UK size and the easiest like-for-like swap. Small towel rails (650–800mm tall) fit cloakrooms, en-suites and under windows, while large and tall rails (1380–1600mm) give family bathrooms more bar space and more heat.

How much heat output do I need?

Outputs are quoted at ΔT50, the standard UK test, and range from around 230W on our smallest rails to nearly 800W on the tallest. If the rail is the only heat source in the room, allow roughly 100W per square metre of floor. Finish matters too: chrome gives out less heat than a painted rail of the same size. Our Salerno 1380 x 600mm rail puts out 470W in matt black but 372W in chrome.

Are these electric towel rails?

No. All of our towel rails are central heating (wet system) rails. They connect to your heating pipework with a pair of radiator valves, which are not included.
