Are the dispensers refillable?

Yes. The bottle lifts out of the wall bracket so you can top it up from a larger container rather than replacing the whole unit.

Will hand soap block the pump?

Thick creams and anything with beads or grit can. A standard liquid hand soap is fine; rinse the pump through with warm water if it starts to feel stiff.
