Arvani 1000x500mm Black Heated Towel Rail – Flat Panel, Vertical Mount, Matt Finish

This black Arvani measures 1000x500mm and mounts vertically, which makes it a straightforward fit for a standard family bathroom. Heat output is 1,774 BTU at ΔT50 — 520W in metric.

Connections are 1/2" BSP and it needs a pair of 15mm valves, sold separately.

BTU values are provided as a range based on ΔT50°C (standard UK rating) and ΔT30°C (lower temperature systems). Low Output: ≤1200 BTU, Medium-High Output: 1201–1700 BTU, High Output: 1701–2100 BTU.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit a narrow wall?

It is 500mm wide, so it will go where a conventional radiator will not — between a door and a basin, or on the short return wall of an en-suite. Leave roughly 30mm behind it for the brackets and another 100mm below for the valves.

Will this heat the room on its own?

1,774 BTU covers a room of roughly 6m². Measure your bathroom and run the figure through a BTU calculator — if it comes back higher than 1,774, go up a size or add a second heat source.

Why are two BTU figures quoted?

Heat output depends on how hot the water is. At ΔT50 this rail gives 1,774 BTU; drop the flow temperature, as a heat pump does, and it falls to about 1,034 BTU. Most UK merchants quote the ΔT50 number.

How does it compare with the other Arvani sizes?
