Help choosing

Will it work with your water system?

Choose your system to see what to look for.

  1. Exposed or concealed? Exposed valves sit on the wall and are easiest to fit or swap. Concealed valves go inside the wall for a clean look and are best fitted while the bathroom is being redone.
  2. Outlets. 1 outlet runs one head; 2 outlets add a handset; 3 outlets add a bath spout or body jets.
  3. Thermostatic is safer. It holds the temperature steady when someone runs a tap elsewhere.
  4. Match your finish. Stick to one finish name across taps, shower and accessories so everything matches.

Still not sure? Send us your measurements and we'll check for you.

Questions people ask

Will this work with my combi boiler?
Thermostatic showers work well with combi boilers and unvented cylinders, as long as your pressure is within the valve's working range shown in the Specification tab.
I have a tank in the loft. Will it work?
Gravity-fed systems usually give low pressure, so check the minimum water pressure. You may need a shower pump; the right pump depends on where your tank sits, so message us and we'll advise.
What are inlet centres?
The distance between the hot and cold inlets on an exposed bar valve. The UK standard is 150mm, and the supplied elbows allow a little adjustment.
Which side is hot?
UK convention is hot on the left and cold on the right. Check the fitting instructions before connecting.
Exposed or concealed?
Exposed valves fix to the wall surface, which suits renovations. Concealed valves sit inside the wall for a cleaner look but need the wall opening up, so they're best fitted before tiling.
Do I need a plumber?
We recommend a qualified plumber for all shower installations.
