Allora is a lightweight aluminium radiator with a modern profile, offered in single and double versions to suit smaller and larger rooms. A mid-grey finish gives a modern, understated look that works with grey, white and natural wood schemes.

Choose from 6 sizes with outputs from 2,431 to 7,293 BTU/hr at ΔT60, so you can match the radiator to the room. Aluminium heats up quickly and holds less water than steel, so the room warms fast and the radiator responds quickly to your thermostat. Radiator valves are sold separately.

Sizes and heat outputs

Size (H x W) Output BTU/hr (ΔT60) Output watts (ΔT60) Weight
580x470mm 2,431 712 7.13kg
580x660mm 3,403 997 9.98kg
580x850mm 4,376 1,283 12.82kg
580x1040mm 5,348 1,567 15.67kg
580x1230mm 6,320 1,852 18.51kg
580x1420mm 7,293 2,137 21.36kg

Outputs are quoted at ΔT60, the manufacturer's test standard. Many UK comparisons use ΔT50, which gives a lower figure (roughly a fifth less), so allow a little extra output when sizing for a modern low-temperature or heat pump system.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size?
Work out the heat your room needs with a BTU calculator (it depends on room size, windows and insulation), then pick a size whose output meets or slightly exceeds it. If you are running a lower flow temperature, allow extra.

Which valves do I need?
You will need a pair of 15mm radiator valves. For a matching look choose manual modern radiator valves in textured grey or thermostatic control with the designer TRV twin pack in textured grey. See all radiator valves.

Other finishes?
Also available in white.

Other versions?
The same design also comes as a vertical aluminium radiator (double), vertical aluminium radiator (single) and horizontal aluminium radiator (single).

Help choosing

Size a radiator by heat output (BTU), not by how it looks on the wall.

How much heat does your room need?

Enter your room size to see the heat output you need.

  1. Match the output to the room. Use the BTU figure from the calculator. In a bathroom, a towel rail alone often heats a small room; bigger rooms may need a radiator too.
  2. Check your connections. Measure the gap between your pipes and choose valves to suit: angled, straight or corner (see the valve helper on our valve pages).
  3. Heat pump? At the lower water temperatures heat pumps run at, expect roughly half the listed output.
  4. Summer use. Central heating rails only warm up when the heating is on. A dual fuel kit adds an electric element where the rail supports it.

Still not sure? Send us your measurements and we'll check for you.

Questions people ask

What does BTU mean?
BTU (British Thermal Units) is the heat output. The higher the figure, the more heat it gives. Use the calculator under Help choosing to see what your room needs. Outputs are quoted at ΔT50.
How much heat do I need?
As a rough guide allow around 100W per square metre of floor in an average room, and more for older properties, high ceilings, large windows or north-facing rooms. Outputs are quoted at ΔT50.
Are valves included?
Radiators are supplied without valves unless the description says otherwise. Add a pair to suit your pipework.
Will it work with a heat pump?
Yes, but heat pumps run at lower water temperatures, so a radiator gives out roughly half its ΔT50 figure. Size up accordingly.
What are pipe centres?
The distance between the two connections. Measure between your pipes and compare it with the pipe centres, allowing for the valves.
