Frequently Asked Questions

Is beige onyx effect tile in style?
Yes — warm minimalism and spa-style bathrooms have made honey and beige onyx one of the most requested looks, especially paired with brushed brass fittings and wood tones.

Can 60x120cm tiles be used on walls?
Yes — large format porcelain is widely used for full-height bathroom walls and feature walls; a suitable large-format adhesive and solid substrate are required.

What other sizes are available?
The Elegant Onyx Beige also comes in smaller formats, so you can coordinate every surface in the room.

  1. Check where it can go. Floors need a tile rated for floors. In showers and wet rooms, a matt or anti-slip finish is safer underfoot than polished.
  2. Measure and add 10%. Length x width for each area, added together, plus 10% for cuts and breakage (15% for herringbone or diagonal layouts). The calculator above does this for you.
  3. Pick your joint. This tile is rectified (precision-cut edges), so a slim 2mm joint gives a near-seamless look. Large tiles need a flat surface; levelling clips help.
  4. Order it all together. Tiles are made in batches that can vary slightly in shade, so buy the full amount in one order.
  5. See it first. Order a sample to check the colour and finish in your own light.

Questions people ask

Can I use this tile on the floor?
Yes, it's made for floors and walls. Slip rating: R9. In showers and wet rooms a matt or anti-slip finish is safer underfoot than polished.
Is it suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes. Use a flexible adhesive and let the heating come up to temperature slowly the first time.
How many tiles do I need?
Measure the length and width of each area, multiply, and add the areas together. Add 10% for cuts and breakage, or 15% for herringbone and diagonal layouts. Type your area into the calculator above and it does the maths for you.
Which adhesive and grout should I use?
Porcelain needs a flexible cement-based adhesive (S1). Large tiles need a thicker, solid bed. The tiling kit above picks the right products and works out how much you need.
What does rectified mean?
Rectified tiles are cut to exact size after firing, so they can be laid with slim 2mm joints for a near-seamless look. This tile is rectified.
Do I need to seal these tiles?
No. Glazed porcelain and ceramic tiles don't need sealing. A grout sealer helps keep light grout clean.
Will the colour match the photos?
Screens show colours differently, so order a sample to see it in your own light. Tiles can vary slightly from batch to batch, so order the full amount in one go.
