How to Style Sahara Onyx Beige Tiles

The warm, neutral character of Sahara Onyx makes it one of the most flexible tiles in our range. In a bathroom, pair with freestanding baths, brushed gold taps and white marble-effect accessories for a five-star hotel feel. For a contemporary look, combine with matte black fixtures, dark grey grout lines and minimalist sanitaryware — the contrast between warm beige and cool black creates a striking, magazine-worthy result. In kitchens, these tiles work effortlessly under cream or navy shaker units, bringing warmth underfoot without competing with the cabinetry. The gloss surface keeps the space feeling fresh and easy to maintain.

How Much Do I Need?

Measure your area in square metres (length × width) and add 10% for cuts and wastage. For example, a 5m² bathroom floor needs approximately 16 tiles. Contact our team at sales@tilesparadiseuk.com for a free quantity estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are beige tiles going out of fashion?

Not at all — beige and neutral toned tiles are consistently one of the best-selling tile colours in the UK because they are timeless rather than trend-led. Unlike bold colours, a warm beige like Sahara Onyx will not date and works with a wide range of interior styles, from traditional to ultra-modern. Interior designers regularly recommend neutral porcelain tiles as the safest long-term investment for kitchens and bathrooms.

Do gloss beige tiles show dirt and footprints easily?

Gloss tiles can show water marks and footprints more readily than matte finishes, particularly on floors. However, the smooth gloss surface is also significantly easier to wipe clean — a quick mop removes marks instantly. For bathroom floors with heavy foot traffic, we recommend using a dark grout to minimise visible grout discolouration over time. Regular cleaning with a pH-neutral tile cleaner keeps gloss tiles looking pristine.

What is an onyx effect tile?

Onyx is a natural semi-precious stone known for its dramatic veining, warm tones and translucent quality. An onyx effect porcelain tile replicates this look using high-definition digital printing technology — giving you the luxurious appearance of natural onyx at a fraction of the cost and with far greater durability. Unlike real onyx, porcelain requires no sealing, is resistant to staining and is suitable for both walls and floors.

What grout colour works best with beige gloss tiles?

For a seamless, minimal look, a warm grey or ivory grout blends beautifully with the Sahara Onyx Beige tone, keeping the natural stone aesthetic intact. For a more defined look, a mid-brown or taupe grout adds warmth and emphasises the tile layout. Avoid bright white grout with beige tiles as the contrast can make the grout lines appear more prominent over time as white grout discolours.

Can I use large format 60x60cm tiles in a small bathroom?

Yes — and in fact, large format tiles often make small bathrooms appear larger. Fewer grout lines create a more continuous surface, tricking the eye into perceiving more space. The high-gloss finish of the Sahara Onyx Beige further enhances this effect by reflecting light around the room. For best results in a small space, run the tiles in a straight lay pattern (rather than diagonal) and use a thin grout joint of 2-3mm.

Is free delivery available on these beige porcelain tiles?

Yes — Tiles Paradise UK offers free delivery on all orders over £499 to most UK mainland addresses. For orders below this threshold, a delivery charge applies and is calculated at checkout. We also offer flexible payment options including Klarna, allowing you to spread the cost interest-free. For delivery quotes or bulk order pricing, contact us at sales@tilesparadiseuk.com.

Tile FAQs

How many tiles do I need?
Measure the width and height of each area to get the m², add the areas together, then add 10% for cuts and wastage. The calculator at the top of this page does it for you and converts the area into the number of tiles.
Can these tiles be used on the floor as well as the wall?
Check the Suitability line in Product Details. Tiles marked "Wall & Floor" are rated for both. For wet-room shower floors we recommend a textured or higher slip-rated finish.
Do the samples cost anything?
Samples are charged at a small amount which is then credited against your full order, so trying before you buy effectively costs nothing once you place your order.
How quickly will my order arrive?
In-stock tiles are dispatched for next-day UK delivery when ordered before the daily cut-off. Standard delivery is free on orders over £499.
Why should I order extra tiles?
Tiles are produced in batches and shades can vary slightly between them. Ordering your full quantity plus 10% in one go means cuts, breakages and future repairs all come from the same batch.
