Sky Blue Marble Effect Polished Porcelain Tile 60x60cm
For a floor or wall that genuinely turns heads, Sky Blue delivers deep, dramatic blue marble in a hard-wearing porcelain. Rich ink-blue tones are shot through with paler veining and multi-tonal movement across multiple faces, so the pattern flows naturally without obvious repeats. The polished surface gives the colour real depth and a mirror-like sheen, making it a striking choice for a feature bathroom, a statement cloakroom, or a bold kitchen floor that won't look like everyone else's.
Supplied in a versatile 60x60cm square format with rectified (laser-cut) edges, Sky Blue lays with very fine grout lines for a clean, continuous run of colour. It's a forgiving size to work with, well suited to smaller rooms and feature areas, and it's rated for underfloor heating.
Why choose Sky Blue porcelain
- Bold, saturated colour — a deep blue marble effect that's hard to find and makes an instant statement.
- Non-porous & low-maintenance — porcelain won't etch or stain the way natural stone does, and never needs resealing.
- Polished gloss finish — reflects light and intensifies the colour for a luxe, high-end look.
- Rectified edges — precision-cut for tight 2–3mm joints and a seamless finish.

Where Sky Blue works best
This is a feature tile — it shines as a bathroom or cloakroom floor, a statement wall behind a vanity or bath, or a bold kitchen and utility floor. The deep blue pairs beautifully with brushed brass and gold brassware for warmth, or chrome and matt-black for a cooler, contemporary scheme, and sits well against white sanitaryware and pale cabinetry that let the colour take centre stage. As a polished tile, keep it to interior use and pair it with a matt or textured tile for shower trays and step-in areas that need more grip.
Care & sealing
Porcelain doesn't need sealing the way natural stone does, but on polished tiles a one-off application of a quality impregnating sealer after fitting helps repel grout haze and everyday marks. Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral tile cleaner — avoid acidic or bleach-heavy products that can dull the gloss over time.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sky Blue suitable for a wet-room shower floor?
As a polished tile it has an R9 slip rating, so we'd not recommend it for the wet area of a shower floor. It's ideal for the rest of a bathroom floor and walls — pair it with a matt or anti-slip tile in the shower itself.
What grout colour works best with deep blue tiles?
A grey or anthracite grout keeps the joints discreet and lets the blue dominate, while a white grout creates a crisp, graphic grid if you want the tile shapes to stand out. Both work — it depends whether you want the joints to recede or frame each tile.
Can these be used on walls as well as floors?
Yes, they're rated for both. On plasterboard or stud walls, fit a tile backer board first to take the weight, as polished porcelain is heavier than standard ceramic wall tile.
Can these go over underfloor heating?
Yes. Sky Blue is suitable for both electric and water-based underfloor heating when laid with a flexible adhesive and grout.
How many tiles do I need?
Each tile covers 0.36m², so you need roughly 2.78 tiles per square metre. Take your area in m², add around 10% for cuts and breakages, then divide by 0.36 — or use the area calculator at the top of this page.
