This black Valeno measures 1600x600mm and mounts vertically, which makes it a straightforward fit for a large bathroom or wet room. It gives 2,565 BTU, or 751W, measured at ΔT50.
It takes standard 1/2" connections and a pair of 15mm radiator valves, which are ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a narrow wall?
Yes — 600mm is narrow enough for most awkward walls. The height is where it takes its space: 1600mm, so check you have headroom above the skirting and below any shelf or cabinet.
Why are two BTU figures quoted?
Heat output depends on how hot the water is. At ΔT50 this rail gives 2,565 BTU; drop the flow temperature, as a heat pump does, and it falls to about 2,525 BTU. Most UK merchants quote the ΔT50 number.
How does it compare with the other Valeno sizes?
This is the largest Valeno, at 1600x600mm and 2,565 BTU. The range starts at 650x400mm (1,009 BTU), so there are smaller options if the wall will not take this one.
Which radiator valves go with it?
You need one pair of 15mm valves. Match the finish to the rail — we stock them in black — and choose angled or straight depending on where your pipes come from.
- Type: Heated Towel Rail
- Width: 600mm
- Height: 1600mm
- Panels: Single Panel
- Heat output: Very High (2101+ BTU)
- Connection position: Side
- Valve style: Angled or Straight
Help choosing
A towel rail should keep the bathroom warm, not just dry towels. Check it's powerful enough for the room.
Enter your room size to see the heat output you need.
- Match the output to the room. Use the BTU figure from the calculator. In a bathroom, a towel rail alone often heats a small room; bigger rooms may need a radiator too.
- Check your connections. Measure the gap between your pipes and choose valves to suit: angled, straight or corner (see the valve helper on our valve pages).
- Heat pump? At the lower water temperatures heat pumps run at, expect roughly half the listed output.
- Summer use. Central heating rails only warm up when the heating is on. A dual fuel kit adds an electric element where the rail supports it.
Still not sure? Send us your measurements and we'll check for you.
