This white straight ladder heated towel rail uses 22mm round cross-tubes, a proven, practical design that dries and warms towels evenly. White is the natural choice when you want heat without a statement: it disappears against pale walls and suits any style of room.
4 sizes are available, with heat outputs from 1,856 to 3,540 BTU/hr at ΔT60. It is made from mild steel to BS EN ISO 9001 quality standards, with a maximum working pressure of 7 bar, and comes with a fixing kit including wall brackets, plugs and an air vent. It runs on your central heating; valves are sold separately.

Frequently asked questions
Which valves do I need?
You will need a pair of 15mm radiator valves. For a matching look choose manual modern radiator valves in white. See all radiator valves.
Can I use it when the heating is off?
Yes, convert it to dual fuel with a dual fuel heating element kit and dual fuel corner valves, so you can warm towels on electric in summer. Have the electrical connection made by a qualified electrician.
Other finishes?
Also available in chrome, textured grey, matt black and brushed brass.

Help choosing
A towel rail should keep the bathroom warm, not just dry towels. Check it's powerful enough for the room.
Enter your room size to see the heat output you need.
- Match the output to the room. Use the BTU figure from the calculator. In a bathroom, a towel rail alone often heats a small room; bigger rooms may need a radiator too.
- Check your connections. Measure the gap between your pipes and choose valves to suit: angled, straight or corner (see the valve helper on our valve pages).
- Heat pump? At the lower water temperatures heat pumps run at, expect roughly half the listed output.
- Summer use. Central heating rails only warm up when the heating is on. A dual fuel kit adds an electric element where the rail supports it.
