The Arvani 1000x500mm is a vertical white towel rail built to warm a standard family bathroom and dry towels at the same time. Heat output is 1,732 BTU at ΔT50 — 508W in metric.
Connections are 1/2" BSP and it needs a pair of 15mm valves, sold separately.

BTU values are provided as a range based on ΔT50°C (standard UK rating) and ΔT30°C (lower temperature systems). Low Output: ≤1200 BTU, Medium-High Output: 1201–1700 BTU, High Output: 1701–2100 BTU.
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit a narrow wall?
It is 500mm wide, so it will go where a conventional radiator will not — between a door and a basin, or on the short return wall of an en-suite. Leave roughly 30mm behind it for the brackets and another 100mm below for the valves.
Why are two BTU figures quoted?
Heat output depends on how hot the water is. At ΔT50 this rail gives 1,732 BTU; drop the flow temperature, as a heat pump does, and it falls to about 900 BTU. Most UK merchants quote the ΔT50 number.
How does it compare with the other Arvani sizes?
The Arvani range runs from 650x450mm at 1,060 BTU to 1200x600mm at 2,487 BTU, in 10 sizes. This one is 1000x500mm and 1,732 BTU, so there is a smaller and a larger option either side of it.
Are valves included?
Valves are separate. Angled where your pipes come out of the wall, straight where they come up from the floor. The connections are 1/2" BSP and take a standard pair of 15mm valves — in white if you want them to disappear against the rail.

Help choosing
A towel rail should keep the bathroom warm, not just dry towels. Check it's powerful enough for the room.

- Match the output to the room. Use the BTU figure from the calculator. In a bathroom, a towel rail alone often heats a small room; bigger rooms may need a radiator too.
- Check your connections. Measure the gap between your pipes and choose valves to suit: angled, straight or corner (see the valve helper on our valve pages).
- Heat pump? At the lower water temperatures heat pumps run at, expect roughly half the listed output.
- Summer use. Central heating rails only warm up when the heating is on. A dual fuel kit adds an electric element where the rail supports it.
