Overview
Make a bold statement with the Onyx Black Pulido Polished Porcelain Tile — a striking large-format tile that brings opulent, high-gloss drama to any interior. At 60×120 cm (600×1200 mm), its rectified edges deliver a near-seamless finish across walls and floors, with fewer grout lines for a clean, contemporary look that feels thoroughly modern. Whether you're transforming a luxury bathroom, a designer kitchen, or a statement hallway, this tile commands attention.
Design & Aesthetic
Inspired by the deep translucence of natural onyx stone, this tile features a rich, lustrous black surface with a polished "Pulido" high-gloss finish — pulido being the Spanish term for polished, used widely in the premium porcelain industry to denote the highest grade of surface refinement. The mirror-like sheen maximises light reflection, adds a sense of depth, and makes even compact rooms feel expansive and light-filled. It is the ideal choice for brightening north-facing bathrooms, basement conversions, and open-plan living spaces where natural light is limited.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this tile be used on both walls and floors?
Yes. The Onyx Black Pulido is suitable for use on both walls and indoor floors. Due to its high-gloss polished finish, it is not recommended for wet room floors or shower floors where slip resistance is required. For bathroom floors in dry zones, it performs excellently.
Is this tile compatible with underfloor heating?
Yes. Porcelain tiles are one of the best materials for underfloor heating systems. They conduct heat efficiently and retain warmth well, making this tile an excellent choice for heated bathroom or kitchen floors.
What grout joint size should I use?
For rectified polished porcelain tiles, we recommend a minimum grout joint of 1.5–3 mm. The rectified edge allows for very tight joints, creating a near-seamless look. Using a tile levelling system during installation will help achieve the best finish.
How do I clean and maintain polished porcelain tiles?
Polished porcelain is low-maintenance. Clean with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner — avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that may dull the gloss finish. The dense vitrified body means no sealing is required on the tile itself, though sealing grout lines is recommended for long-term maintenance.
How many tiles do I need to order?
Measure your wall or floor area in square metres (length × width). Add 10% to your total to account for cuts, waste, and any future replacements. Our tiles are sold per m² — enter your measurements and we'll calculate the exact quantity needed.
Do you offer free UK delivery?
Yes, free delivery to UK mainland addresses is available on full packs. Delivery is made via a pallet courier service on weekdays. You'll be given a 2-hour delivery window and will need someone available to accept the order. Please do not book your installer until the tiles have physically arrived.
Can I order a sample before buying?
Yes — we strongly recommend ordering a sample first to check the colour, finish, and scale in your own space under your specific lighting conditions. This helps avoid costly mistakes before placing your full order.
