Onyx Black Marble Effect Polished Porcelain Tile 60x120cm Wall & Floor Tile

A true jet-black onyx effect with bold, high-contrast veining — the most dramatic black tile in our range. Where our Nebula Black is soft and understated, Onyx Black is built to be seen: deep black ground, sharp white-and-silver veins, and a mirror-polished surface that throws light straight back into the room.

At 60x120cm it covers ground fast with very few grout lines, so a feature wall or a full floor reads as one continuous slab of stone rather than a grid of tiles. Rectified edges let you grout at 2mm for the tightest possible joint.

Where this tile works best

• Feature walls — behind a freestanding bath, a bed, or a media wall. This is where black onyx earns its money.
• Bathrooms and en-suites — pairs hard with brushed gold, brass or matt black brassware.
• Kitchen splashbacks and islands — the gloss bounces light around darker kitchens.
• Hallways and living areas — dramatic underfoot, and warm over underfloor heating.

Honest advice before you order

Polished black is the most striking finish we sell and also the least forgiving. Dust, footprints and water spots show more on black gloss than on any other colour — that's physics, not a fault. It's stunning on walls and in lower-traffic rooms. For a wet room floor, a busy family bathroom floor or anywhere barefoot-and-soapy, we'd point you at a matt or anti-slip tile instead and use this one on the walls. Get a sample before you commit — it's the only way to judge black gloss properly.

Polished porcelain is also easy to scuff during installation. Use a levelling system with scratch-preventer caps, and keep the protective film or card on until the room is finished.
