Iceland Topaz Grey Marble Effect Gloss Porcelain 60x120cm Wall & Floor Tile

Iceland Topaz is the mid-tone of the range — a soft, smoky grey marble with deeper charcoal veining and the occasional warm mineral streak, all under a mirror-bright ultra gloss face. It sits between a white and a dark stone: enough depth to anchor a room, light enough that a bathroom clad floor to ceiling in it still feels open. On a 60x120cm tile the veining flows across joints and reads as one continuous slab.

Where it works

Grey is the most versatile marble tone for a whole-room scheme: shower walls with white sanitaryware and brushed brass or matt black fittings, kitchen floors that hide everyday dust better than a pure white, hallways and media walls. Pair it with Iceland White — same range, same gloss, same batch tone — for a two-tone floor-and-wall scheme.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a polished tile?
No — it is an ultra gloss glazed porcelain. The reflective face is a fired high-gloss glaze rather than a mechanically polished surface, so it is fully sealed and non-porous from the outset while looking every bit as glossy as polished marble.

Does the grey show water marks?
Less than a white or a black gloss does. Mid-grey with veining is the most forgiving gloss colour in a bathroom — splashes and limescale spots are far less visible than on a plain white.

What preparation does a 60x120cm tile need?
A flat, stable substrate, a large-format flexible adhesive, full back-buttering and a levelling clip system. Lippage is visible on a gloss face at this size, so clips are not optional.

Can I use it on a wet room floor?
Gloss surfaces are slippery when wet. Use it on walls and dry floors and choose a matt or anti-slip tile for the shower tray area.

How do I measure my room for tiles?
Measure the length and width of the room and multiply them together to get the square meterage. We recommend adding 10% for cuts and wastage.
Are these tiles suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, most of our porcelain and ceramic tiles are suitable for underfloor heating. Please check the 'Product Details' tab for specific confirmation on this product.
Do I need to seal these tiles?
Porcelain and glazed ceramic tiles do not require sealing. Natural stone and some unglazed tiles may require sealing before and after grouting.
