Marena White is a straightforward 75x300mm glazed ceramic brick with a clean, bright gloss face — the standard metro proportion people picture when they say metro, and the one every layout guide and tiling video assumes. It reflects light into small rooms, suits any worktop or cabinet colour, and costs less per square metre than almost anything else that looks this deliberate.

Spain, imported directly by us. At this price point most white metro on the market is far-east produced, so a Spanish-made tile here is worth knowing about — the glaze is more consistent box to box.
How many tiles will I need?
Around 44 per square metre. Measure the area, add 10% for cuts, and round up — a typical 3m² splashback works out at roughly 145 tiles.
Which grout gives the classic look?
Mid-grey. It outlines every brick and gives the underground-station effect people picture when they ask for metro. White grout blends the wall into a single soft surface; charcoal is striking but shows any wobble in your joints.
Is it suitable for a shower?
Yes, on the walls, over a properly tanked substrate. It is a wall tile only — use a porcelain floor tile for the tray and the floor.
