Made in Spain by Pamesa, Rodas Onyx Blue in 30x60cm is the size to use when you want the drama of blue onyx in a room that can't take a large format. Deep blue veining runs across a mirror-polished face, and the smaller tile makes it far easier to work around reveals, boxed pipework and short returns without cutting away half of what you buy. At 10.5mm the body is noticeably heavier than the 8–9mm porcelain most 30x60cm is pressed at.

Where it works
Feature walls behind a bath or basin, shower recesses, cloakrooms and small en-suites. Blue onyx works best on one or two surfaces with quieter finishes around it, and it is a natural partner for brass, aged gold and warm timber.

How many boxes do I need?
Each box holds 6 tiles and covers 1.08m². Measure your area, add 10% for cuts, then divide by 1.08 and round up — a 4m² shower wall works out at 5 boxes.
Should I use 30x60cm or go larger?
In a small or awkwardly shaped room, 30x60cm wastes far less. If you have a clear run of wall and want the veining to read as one slab, the 60x120cm in the same colourway is the better choice.
Is it rectified?
Yes. The edges are cut to an exact size after firing, which is what allows a 2mm joint and keeps the grout lines straight across a whole wall.
Can I use it on a bathroom floor?
On dry floors, yes. Polished porcelain is slippery once wet, so for a shower tray or wet room floor pair it with a matt or textured tile.
