Rodas Beige Marble Effect Polished Porcelain 60x120cm Wall & Floor Tile

Made in Spain by Pamesa, Rodas Beige is a warm marble-effect porcelain in the format that changed how bathrooms look: 60x120cm. One tile covers 0.72m², so a standard shower wall needs a handful of panels rather than dozens of tiles, and the veining runs its full length instead of being chopped up every 600mm. At 10.5mm it is a substantially heavier-bodied tile than the 8–9mm porcelain most large format sits at.

  • Made in Spain by Pamesa
  • Size: 60x120cm large format (0.72m² per tile)
  • Finish: Polished marble effect, warm beige
  • Thickness: 10.5mm
  • Rectified edges — machine cut for a tight 2mm joint
  • 2 tiles per box, covering 1.44m²
  • Walls and floors, and suitable over underfloor heating
  • Sold per square metre

Why 60x120cm

Fewer grout lines is the whole point. A 60x120cm wall has roughly a third of the joints of the same wall in 60x60cm, and joints are what make a bathroom read as tiled rather than as stone. Beige is the easiest large format to live with — it warms a north-facing room, hides dust far better than a dark polish, and works with oak, walnut and brass without a fight.

Where it works

Floor-to-ceiling shower walls, bath panels, hallway and open-plan floors, fireplace surrounds and media walls. Keep the polished finish to dry floors — for a wet room tray, pair it with a matt or textured tile.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many boxes do I need?
Each box holds 2 tiles and covers 1.44m². Take your area in square metres, add 10% for cuts, and divide by 1.44 — a 6m² bathroom floor works out at 5 boxes.

Is it rectified, and what joint should I use?
Yes, rectified. The edges are machine cut after firing so every tile is dimensionally identical, which is what makes a 2mm joint achievable at this size.

Does it need sealing?
No. Polished porcelain is dense and non-porous — only the grout needs looking after. Clean with a pH-neutral product and avoid acidic descalers.

What preparation does it need?
A flat, stable substrate, a large-format adhesive, back-buttering for full coverage and a levelling clip system. At 60x120cm a 1mm lip between tiles is visible on a wall and you can feel it underfoot on a floor.

How do I measure my room for tiles?
Measure the length and width of the room and multiply them together to get the square meterage. We recommend adding 10% for cuts and wastage.
Are these tiles suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, most of our porcelain and ceramic tiles are suitable for underfloor heating. Please check the 'Product Details' tab for specific confirmation on this product.
Do I need to seal these tiles?
Porcelain and glazed ceramic tiles do not require sealing. Natural stone and some unglazed tiles may require sealing before and after grouting.
